Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite was born in Brasília on the 22th April 1982. Highly technical player, relentless and having a great shot Kaká is considered as one of the best players in the world. His awareness and vision can allow him to play not only as a striker but also as a playmaker in the team. He can change the course of a match on his own. His skills have made him an important part of any team he plays in whether at club or country level.

Trivia:

He started his career at the age of eight but did not focus only on football. Indeed he was also a tennis player.

It is only after signing with Sao Paulo that he focused solely on football.

His father is Bosco Izecson Pereira Leite who works as engineer and his mother is Simone dos Santos, a teacher.

Kaká was named by the UEFA as both the top forward of the 2006–07 Champions League season and UEFA Club Footballer of the Year.

In December 2007 he won the Ballon D’Or trophy becoming the 8th Milan player to win it.

He has also been named in the Time 100, a list of the 100 most influential people.

He was part of the 2002 FIFA World Cup-winning squad, but played only 25 minutes.

Kaká is married to Caroline Celico, his childhood friend.

Kaká’s best friend is fellow Brazilian Marcelo Saragosa and they both serve as best men at each other‘s wedding.

His name “Kaká” evolves from his brother inability to pronounce Ricardo when they were young.
